Jammu, Sept 18: A school situated just a few kilometers from the periphery of Jammu has been mocking at the tall claims of the Omar led government with regards to importance it assigned to Education and child rights.
The in charge Principal of the GHHS Narri Bala in Akhnoor , Sunita Rani Sharma has been abusing children physically and mentally by making them work as construction labourers in the construction of a water tank and main gate of the school, at the expense of their classes for days. Sources disclosed that the work of erecting a bigger gate of the school, construction of a water tank and plantation in the school compound has been going on in the school with utter lack of transparency as there is no contractor or executing agency and the work is being done by teachers and students who have been employed as labourers for digging, carrying sand, bajri and cement and mixing of concrete. One of the students pleading anonymity admitted that their teachers under directions from the Incharge Principal forced them to work rather than attend their classes.
