The group which includes six other MLAs of BJP suspended by the party is likely to enlist the issues which it would rake up during the session, focussing mainly on Jammu based matters and corruption as a general issue. | | Jammu for a credible, responsive leadership | Trust Deficit | | Neha
JAMMU, Sept 23: The Jammu province is passing through difficult times. There is widespread discontent and disaffection among its people. They are feeling abandoned and their sense of despondency has become a cause of concern. There is every possibility that the desperate people may lose its faith in the methodology they have used thus far to air their grievances and seek a permanent solution to their age-old problem which has been further compounded by the authorities in New Delhi by adopting a discriminatory attitude towards them. They are fed up with the existing politico-constitutional set-up because they feel, and rightly so, that it is Kashmir-centric and not state-centric and th... | |

| | Appeal to Hon'ble speaker by Shri Chaman Lal Gupta BJP MLA | | | Sir,
I had raised a question during the last session of the state assembly seeking a reply from the government regarding the decision to stop government advertisements to the daily Early Times published from Jammu.
I had also spoken about the highhandedness of the government and its arbitrary, whimsical dispensation regarding distribution of official advertisements to the various newspapers published in the state.
Despite repeated requests, the state government did not come forward with any reply to my question and the result has been that through its decision to ignore my question the state government has covertly accepted that it does not have a reasonable answer to my question.
