Srinagar, Nov 10: Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (J&KPSC), recruitment body for gazetted posts in the state has turned out to be a perfect rehabilitation centre for the 'blue-eyed' bureaucrats who have either retired from the Government service or are on verge of superannuation.
The J&KPSC somehow attracts not only the bureaucrats, but also retired police officers and judges since some among them have been appointed as members of the commission over the past few years. In the past doubts have been cast over the selections made by this recruitment body for various gazetted posts in different Government departments.
On October 10 the state Cabinet headed by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah announced the nomination of chairman and members of the J&KPSC. While Khurshid Ahmad Ganai was made the chairman of the Commission six other persons were nominated as the members of the Commission.
