Jammu, Nov 12: NC led coalition government has not been able to find an officer whom it could transfer and appoint as Secretary Legislative Council , an important post by all means to conduct the business of the House of Elders in J&K. The post as of now continues to be looked after in 'additional charge' syndrome of this government as Secretary Law Department Mohammad Ashraf Mir continues to hold this charge in additional capacity for over four months now.
It was in the month of July this year that Omar Abdullah led cabinet in the administrative reshuffle effected on 13 of that month among other officers ordered transfer of Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Secretary Legislative Council to the post of Secretary Law Department , which is in itself a very important post. Srinagar, Nov 12: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court today directed its civil law enforcing officials to file individual undertakings about the properties owned by them and their spouses before November 21.
A division bench of Justices M H Attar and A M Magrey passed the directions after perusal of details of properties owned by the SMC staffers submitted to the court.
"The details of the property submitted by the SMC do not satisfy the requirements of the court," the bench observed during proceedings of the public interest litigation on illegal constructions that have come up in violation of Master Plan in Srinagar and elsewhere over the years.
