JAMMU, Oct 25: The famous quote of Norman Cousins, "Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live", aptly elucidates the mental trauma which the hapless family of Jaskirat Singh (10) is undergoing. The kid is suffering from life threatening disease Primary Immune Deficiency Disorder (typically Burton's Hypogamaglobulinemia), which is so far considered incurable by medical science across world.
Jaskirat a resident of village Khandwal, Miran Sahib, is the lone patient of said disease across state and economically weak family has so far spent around Rs. 15 Lakhs over his treatment. He still requires injections of Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) after every three weeks, single dose (10 gm) of which costs around Rs. 22000.

| | | | Reorganize the state end unrest in Jammu, Ladakh | | State of disparate regions | | | Rustam
JAMMU, Oct 25: There are many social and political groups which are convinced that the only way to render justice to Jammu and Ladakh, which have been victims of the Abdullah clan, is to trifurcate/quadrificate Jammu and Kashmir into Jammu, Ladakh, Kashmir and a homeland for the persecuted and displaced Kashmiri Hindus carved out from the Kashmir Valley itself. Demands for such a division/ reorganization of the state make the Abdullahs -- senior and junior -- to react hysterically.
The Abdullahs and the "secular" section of the Indian intellectual class are thrown into a panic as demands for division of the state gathers momentum. They declare that such a division would deal a mort...

It was a landmark day in the political history of India, as it was on that historic day that the Maharaja of the State, Hari Singh, defeated the evil game plan of Pakistan and linked for ever the fate of the people of his State with India. Not that Jammu and Kashmir was not part of India before 1947; it was an integral part of India socially and culturally and since time immemorial. Indeed, it was part and parcel of the Indian civilization in every respect and it will remain so for ever. It's no wonder that the patriotic sections of society in J...

Early Times, the voice of Jammu continues to be persecuted by the state government for its fearless journalism and for highlighting the discrimination against Jammu region.
In spite of being the largest circulated daily in Jammu and registering maximum number of hits on its website, Early Times is treated as a C grade newspaper that operate from a single room, where news and views are downloaded, rather pirated from other publications and portals. Our flow of government advertisements is at par with such newspapers.
To keep the flame alive, we are forced to increase the price of your own newspaper from Rs 1.50 to Rs 2 to supplement the losses we have incurred. We, therefore, reques...
