Papa gets Khan appointed as chairman CVPDC | Tainted get painted! | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 30: Papa's influence over Omar led government has been felt yet again. The former Chief Minister has managed to get a prize post for his friend, Muhammad Yusuf Khan. Yusuf has been appointed as the first chairman of newly created Chenab Valley Power Development Corporation. In his new capacity, Khan will enjoy the status and perks of the chairman NHPC.
The newly created corporation intends to set up three power projects capable of generating 212o Mega Watts of power under a joint venture with NHPC and JK SPDC. As per the MoU the JKSPDC would have a share of not more than 49 percent while the NHPC would have share not less than 51 per cent in the Company.

LEH, Oct 30: To get the first hand assessment of the rehabilitation and reconstruction work in Leh the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram today paid visits to different places and have meeting with local administration besides representatives of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC).
The Union Home Minister, who reached here early this morning directly, flew to Puga village and Hot Spring in Changthang Village.
After visiting these places, Chidambaram reached Pangong Lake where he interacted with army jawans.
He also paid visits to various flood affected areas of Saboo village and Choglamsar village.

Police sources identified the victim as Rahul Koul, son of Suraj Koul, and one of the accused as Rajinder Singh. There is a dispute between the two parties over a piece of land which Suraj claims to have purchased from Daljeet Singh, a property dealer.
