JAMMU, Feb 26: In an interesting turn of events, Jammu and Kashmir government which had been denying CBI probe in Chopra murder case for the past 5 years, provoking the sons of deceased cement tycoon to knock at the doors of court, has now formally approached the high profile agency for investigation.
The development has came at a time when a second Special Investigation (SIT) headed by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Jammu-Kathua range Farooq Khan along with SSP Jammu Basant Kumar Rath and other SIT members SP (Counter Intelligence) Romesh Kumar Angral, SP (Armed) Mahadeep Singh and DySP CID (CI) Jammu Muzaffar Hussain Shah was claiming of solving the case in next few weeks.
Further, the new SIT had begun questioning the accused while the leaks in media had begun pointing towards the involvement of some influential persons in this gruesome murder. SRINAGAR, Feb 26: Admitting a `commonality' had emerged between Peoples Democratic party (PDP) and Hurriyat Conference, the patron of the opposition PDP and former Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Sayed sought "final and lasting solution to Kashmir problem." Mufti was addressing a huge rally in the summer capital today.
The PDP patron urged New Delhi to "initiate action on areas of consensus between various stake holders from the state."

JAMMU, Feb 26: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages has swimmingly become a bone of contention between Chief Minister's office and Minister for Culture with both puling in opposite directions.
