Dharmarth trust under cloud Road constructed over Shishu Samadhi, Shamshan Ghat
3/22/2012 11:58:21 PM
Syed Junaid Hashmi Jammu, Mar 22: High profile Dharmarth Trust, which is headed by Congress Member Parliament (MP) Dr. Karan Singh, has allegedly handed over two power of attorneys of around 100 Kanals of land belonging to Jawala Ji Asthapan at Khrew in Pampore area of Pulwama district of South Kashmir. To compound the miseries, one of the two attorney holders has begun selling the allotted land in the shape of residential plots. The road to these plots passes through the piece of land which has been kept by displaced Kashmiri pandits for religiously sacred Shishu Samadhi and Shamshan Ghat. Trucks plied over this sacred land for months altogether while the authorities were in deep slumber. Some Kashmir pandits, which are part of Shri Jawala Ji Samiti, noticed the alleged wrong and took up the issue, first with the administration and later with Dharmarth Trust. Administration ensured that allotted land is not misused and sold while the high profile trust rebuffed the allegations, terming them as false and motivated. In complete contrast to the statement of the Dharmarth trust...

He had accused Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah of having a truck with enemies of India. He also accused him of creating a wedge between Kashmir and Jammu. Beig had also made a special mention of `money received by Sher-e-Kashmir from Pakistan. NC's tirade has been taken by political circles with a pinch of salt. "...
