Bizarre admission
3/6/2011 12:53:39 AM

Minister of state for Home Affairs in the government of India Gurudas Kamat made these revelations in an official report which he placed before the Rajya Sabha a few days ago. He affirmed that provisions of law are invoked whenever any actionable information/intelligence regarding suspected funds is received in this regard. Kamat further said that India has consistently emphasized to Pakistan the need to implement its solemn commitments, including those given at highe...

Who is interested in Art 370 in Kashmir?
3/6/2011 12:45:28 AM
News Analysis Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 5: Even as the debate over Article 370 of the Indian Constitution continues, the Kashmiris no longer “swear by this Article”. Gone are the days when Kashmiris linked it with their identity. However, this does not mean that Kashmiris are no longer concerned about their identity. But political and academic circles believe that Kashmiris now identify with the on-going separatist movement. Most of the people, they believe, consi...

The BJP has been favoring the demand for UT status for Ladakh, particularly since the 1980s, when the Ladakhis upped their ante against the Kashmiri leadership on the grounds that it stood for a special status such for the state and grant of UT status alone could empower them, free them from the clutches of Kashmiri leadership and he...
