TOP STORY OF THE DAY
Yet another shoot out at By-pass
Sanat Nagar searched, no arrests made
9/28/2013 11:32:19 PM
Jehangir Rashid SRINAGAR, Sept 28: Hardly five days after carrying out a deadly attack on the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at Hazuri Bagh here in the summer capital suspected militants fired towards security forces personnel in the Sanat Nagar area on the bye-pass connecting Baramulla with Srinagar and subsequently Jammu. The firing incident caused panic in the area and security forces cordoned off some of the localities falling in the vicinity of the bye-pass area. No arrests were made by the security forces personnel with the cordon being lifted after some hours of the incident. While some of the reports suggested that the suspected militants attacked the Army convoy passing through the highway some other reports suggested that the militants carried out an attack on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Rashtriya Rifles (RR) camp positioned in the un-finished quarters of RRL on the road leading towards the Gouripora locality. The militants fired some shots on the security forces personnel and the same was retaliated with the firing incident lead...

9/28/2013 11:31:46 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 28: In what could be seen as Congress having taken as affront recent remarks of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on 'Accession', once again terming it as 'incomplete,' senior leader and PHE Minister Sham Lal Sharma today fired fresh salvo against the former, asking as if was so , what oath he had taken four years back and in what capacity he is occupying highest chair in the government. Sharma also asserted on imperativeness of unity of Jammu in countering such voices like autonomy or self rule. In an oblique reference and sharp reaction to Omar Abdullah's recent remarks on Accession of state with India , it was Sham Lal yet again who mustere...

9/28/2013 11:31:26 PM
Neha Jammu, Sept 28: NC leader and CM Omar Abdullah has been violating the oath of office almost every day and questioning the accession of the State with India. "Political resolution of the political issue of Kashmir is the only way ford," he told the EU delegation. Success has many fathers, failure is an orphan
9/28/2013 11:29:46 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 28: Those who talk of security lapse while referring to the Thursday's twin attack on Hiranagar Police Station and the Army camp at Samba seem to have lost sight of the old adage "success has many fathers and failure is an orphan." Again those who blame the forces, guarding the IB, for some lapse seem to be unaware of the difficult, rather tough, border terrain in Jammu and Kashmir. The entire Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir is dotted with rivers, ravines, gorges, mountain slopes, thick forest belts which allow militants to take the advantage while trying to sneak into the Indian State. At times the success achieved by troops in foiling ingress bids do...
