Alleged doctor-pvt diagnostic centre nexus exposed | Police writes to GMC Principal for action against medico | | K Koushal
Jammu, July 15: The technician of a private diagnostic centre was today caught while carrying the blood sample of a patient outside the GMCH premises. Preliminary police inquiries have hinted at an alleged nexus between a doctor and the owner of the diagnostic centre.
"A technician working with a private diagnostic centre situated near the GMCH was seen and caught by the attendants of some patients while taking blood samples out of the emergency ward. When he confessed that he was working for a private diagnostic center and had been sent there by his owner to take the sample, he was handed over to police", said a source.
According to highly placed sources in the GMCH, the whole nexus was allegedly being run by Casualty Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Sauqib Shafi. Sources said that a letter was also written to GMCH Principal, Dr Ghanshyam Sharma for initiating departmental action against Dr Sauqib. Dr Ghanshyam, when contacted by Early Times, stated that he was on leave and would look into the matter tomorrow.
