SAROJ RAZDAN Jammu,April 28: Retracting from its own position, the Revenue Minister Raman Bhalla issued an order declaring that the order he issued in March this year with regard to issuance of Dogra certificate stands revoked in the wake fact that the government having decided to ‘adopt and implement’ the notification issued few days back by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs seeking relaxation in physical standards of measurement in the recruitment in para military forces be extended to all the permanent residents of J&K. The Revenue Department issued this order soon after the state cabinet ‘unanimously’ agreed to go by, rather adopt the amended and modified notification of the Union Home enabling all Jammu and Kashmir residents to avail a relaxation of five cm in height and two cm in chest measurements for getting into a paramilitary force. It was agreed to deposit the amount in GP fund till May and give it in cash along with pay from June onwards. JAMMU, Apr 28: Police today fired a single shot, bursting a tyre of the truck which broke their naka and sped away on the national highway near Hatli in Kathua. The truck (JK02X/4494) carried eight oxen, which were being smuggled from Punjab to Kashmir, SSP, Kathua, J L Sharma said. He said industrial estate police post incharge, SI Nayat Ali, who had laid a naka on the highway near Hatli Morh, signalled the truck to stop for checking.Its driver, however, ignored the signal and sped away by breaking the police barrier with the intention of crushing the cops, the SSP added. JAMMU, Apr 28: Four persons, including a polytechnic college student and a cop, were wounded in different assault cases here today. Saifullah, a polytechnic college student, was beaten by his classmates inside the college premises. He was admitted to the GMC hospital.In his statement, he told police that his classmates had beaten him because he possessed more knowledge and often scored over them, according to police sources. Srinagar, Apr 28 (KNS): A Rastriya Rifles trooper went on a shooting spree inside an army camp in Anantnag district Thursday, killing four of his colleagues, reports said.Reports said four troopers including a Junior Commissioned Officer died on the spot.
