A determined BJYM challenges govt to join Yatra | ‘No change in programme, come what may’ | |

JAMMU, Jan 21:
Against a determined state government on not allowing BJYM plans to materialize, the BJP today challenged the former stating if it was so apprehensive and incapable of maintaining law and order, the party would itself ensure both- unfurling of tricolour at Lal Chowk and at the same time ensuring peace and order in the entire state.
Reiterating to go ahead with its plan of hoisting national flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar on Republic Day, the Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM)-BJP’s youth wing-today said that there was “no change” in the programme despite J&K government’s warning that it will not allow any ceremony that tantamount to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the
state.
“Come what may, we will hoist the tricolour at any cost….We will go ahead with Rashtriya Ekta Yatra to Kashmir and hoist the national flag at Lal Chowk even as Omar government has decided to stop us,” BJYM general secretary and Patna MLA Nitin Naveen said in a determined tone at a press conference here today.

JAMMU, Jan 21: Foiling an infiltration bid on the International Border (IB), BSF troops shot dead an intruder in Chak Phagwari area of Pargwal, Akhnoor, in the wee hours of this morning.
Official sources said BSF troops at Chak Phagwari outpost noticed suspicious movement on the IB at about 4 am. Ambush parties were alerted soon thereafter. Sources said one intruder was shot dead by alert jawans when he reached the barbed wire fencing while at least two others managed to cross back to Pakistan unhurt.
